BRIGHT LIGHTS BIG CITY 27” X 18” ORIGINAL VIDEO STORE POSTER. MICHAEL J FOX VG. Condition is Used. Dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd Class.

Great movie and Iconic poster. Delivery price reflects postage as rolled. *Small tear

Hello - I am a private seller, who loves posters and have collected for over 55 years. I am at a point where I need to cull my collections and rather than store these wonderful pieces of art in dust covers behind a wardrobe, it makes sense to sell them to other collectors, or people who wish to display on a wall, or want to invest. Plus, I am saving for a birthday gift for someone special. These notes are generic, so please look at the photos carefully, ask questions if you wish and, in some cases, see notes above.

QUALITY, PRICING & SHIPPING

I have kept my posters stored protected from dust and in the dark, so overall they have kept there looks and colours intact. View my photos, as when I either bought them, or just asked for them, they may have been in use, so any blemishes, cockling, or creases were there then. I have made notes of major defects such as tears, and state if folded, or rolled, but please study the photos, or if in doubt please contact me. Prices I believe to be keen and I have looked at the market and priced below, allowing for condition. With regards to shipping, I am looking at this and wish to be keen, but more than that I must ensure the item is delivered in good order. I tend to overpack and my reviews indicate that my packing is excellent. The main thing is, I will roll a non-folded poster, but where items can be packed flat or folded, I will ship in that format – No new folds after the photo was taken will be added

CINEMA POSTERS – USA & UK QUADS

Most of my posters are either from The Cinema Store that used to operate in London, before the Internet killed it off and my older posters from the 70s I use to buy from ‘Limpy’ (not a politically correct name now, but he seemed happy at the time, as he had a limp). He was the caretaker at our local ABC Cinema and would sell posters on the hush, as he said they belonged to the Cinema HQ. They cost a couple of shillings, which was a reasonable amount of money in those days, but I loved posters and, in some cases, pinned them to the wall (I have noted this in descriptions). Mostly, I just stored, but pretty much all posters in those days were folded, so be aware of creases and although they were stored flat subsequently, I will probably ship folded, as tube carriage is costly and I have had tubes arrive broken by the courier, which is annoying. In recent years most of my newer posters were bought from dealers and arrived rolled; those will be despatched rolled

I did have a couple of posters heat sealed and it is amazing how good they look, either framed, or unframed. They don’t need glass and depending on your reason for buying, it is a remarkable how good your local picture framing shop can enhance a poster, but pure collecting wise, seek out a specialist for restoration advice, if it is something you desire

VIDEO SHOP POSTERS

If you are old enough to remember the Video Rental Shops, pre-Blockbuster, you will remember the excitement of renting VHS Cassettes and eventually DVDs and looking out for the Video Release Posters. With streaming that has died away, but in those days, I loved collecting the release posters and got many, although, most were tatty and had to be thrown away. I got my posters from Anglia Video Rental, where membership before you even paid to hire was £30 (Deposit) so it wasn’t cheap; how things have moved on. Anyway, I think the posters are in many cases a great piece of art and in time will be valuable as a nostalgic look back to the time when home cinema started to take off. They do not really exist anymore and can look great framed

MUSIC RELEASE POSTERS & DISPLAYS

As with Video Posters, I used to obtain album release posters from my local record shop. It was extremely rare that you could obtain a poster or display, as they were well sort after, or just got trashed in use, but I do have a few

I hope this backdrop might be of interest to some of you and as said, please feel free to contact me, if you want further photos or information
