Yellow/Pink - 1950s Sedan #4 & #6

1 1/2" long

Based in New Jersey, Barclay was better known for its lead soldiers.  They were founded in the mid-Twenties and became the largest producer of lead alloy toy vehicles up until World War II.  A large portion of their output was in the 2.5 to 3 inch range, which would be considered 1:64 today.

Unlike Tootsietoy and most of today's toy cars, Barclay used the slush cast technique instead of diecast.  They are the default name to check when you come upon an unknown slush toy.  If they could be said to have a signature vehicle, it would probably be their unassuming slush cast racer #53 from the late Twenties. There also was a four car transporter set that was a staple for nearly their entire existence.
