Circa 1865 Scarce Antique Civil War Era Tintype Photograph; Full length portrait of a Civil War soldier wearing a shell jacket and Hardee hat. Hat is adorned with a white feather plume (ostrich?) and coat adorned with approximately 35 gold, hand tinted stars (equal to the number of the Union states at the end of the war).   star embellished uniform.  There is also gold gilt hand tinting to the hat and jacket buttons with pink embellishment to the soldier's cheeks.  Light pink and green tinting is added to the rug.  (On the right of the tintype in the foreground is a draping of dark cloth--possibly from the photographer's focusing hood.)  Approximate size is 2-5/8" x 4-1/4".

Condition: light soiling and edge wear.  slight oval halo from previous mat which is now missing.  Please see photos for additional condition review.  Questions welcome!
