Offering this stunning highest state of the art level Monster Mask by Jordu Schell. Jordu has been credited with being the one who raised the latex monster mask up to a true art form and inspired other artists to follow. This sculpt was actually a concept piece for Rick Baker Studios when developing Tim Burton's take on the Planet Of The Apes franchise. The details, layers of paint and hair are amazing. Painted by Jordu. The hand punched real yak hair, from what I recall was done by Norman Cabrera on this one. Norman is renowned makeup FX artist who began working in Hollywood at the age of 20 for Rick Baker. This ape is cast in super thick latex, it is heavy and substantial to hold and admire. It will last a long time when taken care of. Not meant to be worn. It is art and organic. I have tried to show it in various light conditions. The cost via Jordu was $1600. Condition is perfect.
