Holmegaard Cased Glass Lamp.

A 1960s Holmegaard Kresta glass hanging lamp, designed by Jacob Bang for Fog & Mørup, Denmark. Vivid yellow glass cased on a layer of inner white, the colours are those of the Holmegaard Carnaby range, also in the 1960s. Included are the electrical fittings, with a hook to hang, the globe holder is ceramic, for a screw globe. This can be readily changed of course.
The lamp reflects the iconic pop art style of the 1960s, its lemon yellow hue adding a vibrant touch to any space, emitting a soft, warm glow.
It is a rare and sought-after piece that embodies the elegance and innovation of Danish design from that era.

Fog & Mørup was a leading Danish lighting manufacturing company for much of the twentieth century.

In excellent vintage condition, no chips or cracks; some very mild roughness to the lower opening, a production issue I believe, probably intentional.

Size: glass is 40 cm high, 23 cm diam, weight: 1.35 Kg.

Please view all the photos before purchasing, they complete the description. While I do my best to reproduce the true colours of the pieces, they will vary slightly from system to system, and in actual viewing they will vary under differing lighting. All white spots are light reflections.
