Here we have two vintage signet rings, both of which are broken.

They each have succumbed to old age, and the metal band on each has split causing a rough edged gap in the band– see photos.

they date back to around the early 1950s.

Both are small size, one slightly smaller than the other.

One is marked as sterling silver – see photos.

This one has been initialed and has the letters either YG or YL ornately engraved on the top, it is a little difficult to decipher.

It shows signs of its age and previous use and was clearly well worn some years ago.

The other is a gold colour but the gold on the top has faded round the edges of the part where the signature letters would normally go – see photos.

The interior of the ring band is marked as ‘Plat’ – see photos. This ring has no initials engraved on it.

Both are worn and not in best condition.
