This listing is for one of my rarest finds- a genuine ANTIQUE tube of "Verdigris" made by Winsor & Newton. Before modern greens such as Pthalo Green we had Verdigris and other greens that have now mostly fallen out of favor for a variety of reasons.

While not completely out of production like Emerald Green, it is much more rare to find Verdigris in a vintage commercial art supply offering than Emerald Green, in fact to my knowledge this is the only one I have found since I started buying vintage art materials in 2016.

Truly a gem of a find. The tube is soft, and the cap still comes off as well.

Verdigris is the color of the statue of liberty in NYC and it is a transparent very BLUE leaning green. Truly a beautiful color. In many ways it handles very similarly to Emerald Green as their composition is similar.

Verdigris is the color of impermanence and decay.

Perfect for the serious collector or artist.
