The incredible champagne silver burst dial of this vintage Rolex is utterly entrancing. 

Dating to 1966, it's a genuine vintage stainless steel cased Oyster Precision watch and contains the legendary workhorse Rolex calibre 1215 movement. This is manually wound with a 2-day power reserve. 

Its dial is clean and crisp and unusually for Rolex, surprisingly uncluttered. Its ratios are fantastic with a large face, and it wears slightly larger than its 36 mm diameter would suggest - making it appear surprisingly modern at first glance. Its lugs are incorporated into the case with curved lines, and it's fitted with a superb buffalo calf leather strap with original Rolex steel buckle. 

It's just been serviced and is currently keeping time like only a Rolex can at +1 second per day. The case shows some expected patina, light scratching etc - this has been left unpolished to retain the history and character of the watch. The crystal is new and the dial is excellent. The wonderful typical 60's hands show some ageing to their finish. Overall it's a fabulously handsome, characterful, genuine watch that's incredibly wearable. Ideal as a wedding watch - also perfect as a daily wearer!
