Synopsis

In a land plagued by a dying curse, the ruthless samurai lord Daigo Kagemitsu forsakes his faith and strikes a dark bargain with twelve demons to gain power. These malevolent beings grant his wish, but with a sinister cost. When Kagemitsu's first son is born horribly disfigured, lacking limbs, senses, and even skin, the child is abandoned in a river. Miraculously rescued and equipped with prosthetics and weapons by a kind healer, the boy survives and grows, driven by a quest for vengeance against the demons who mutilated him. Each demon defeated restores a part of his stolen humanity. Alone for years, he crosses paths with a spirited orphan, Dororo, forging an unlikely alliance to battle the demonic forces and reclaim their lost selves in a harsh, demon-infested world.
