Save, restore, upgrade your Pioneer SX-1250 receiver
For sale, brand new power amplifier set of two blank pcbs with connectors installed
This design is electrically equivalent and interchangable with the original Pioneer design
Design improvements address a number of reliability issues regarding the original design
The pcb is double sided, 1 oz. copper cladding, green solder-mask, silkscreen printing for component identification
All high quality parts from leading manufactures. Parts at Mouser are ~$50US/pcb. Heatsinks are included.

This is intended for customers which have some prior experience in building electronic assemblies. Knowing how to read a schematic is benificial. We also offer a complete set of two assembled and tested modules in another listing

These are custom built to order.

What you will get.
  1. Two new power amplifier pcbs, set of two blanks with connectors installed plus supply of two heatsinks
  2. Full set of printed documentation and installation notes, link to cloud for pics and docs
  3. Link to Mouser shopping cart, to order parts. The cart is for one assembly, so you buy it twice for the pair
  4. You can contact us for technical support using supplied email in the documents
Improvements over the original Pioneer version
  1. The pcb material is much better, higher temp FR4 epoxy glass construction, LPI solder mask, double sided PHT, silkscreen legends
  2. Upgraded high performance heatsink to run the devices cooler, so they last much longer
  3. New temperature sensing design for pre-drivers, drivers and main heatsinks, dual BJT bias spreader, eliminates the use of the STV-4 diodes
  4. OnSemi MJE15032G/15033G drivers specified
  5. Precision metal film and metal oxide resistors, UES, UKL, UPW or equiv ecaps. All current production parts from Mouser &/or Digi-Key
  6. Easy installation/service, using the existing connectors and mounting plate. No soldering required for installation
  7. Connector pins are gold plated to prevent tarnish
  8. You need to adjust OutPut Stage Bias (OPS) using a DC voltmeter (DMM) and lead clip-on grabbers. This setting is required since your OPS transistors(bjts) are not exactly the same as the ones we use for testing (MJ21195/MJ21196). The design can use the original OPS bjts
  9. A DMM is required to set OPS bias however a inexpensive DMM can be used and precision accuracy is not important for the bias setting. A scope is not required
