Quinacridone Gold is a modern pigment that ceased production in the early 21st century mainly because other industries outside of the artist industry no longer sought it out, coupled with the fact that it in all its variations can be mimicked with other modern pigments it has stayed out of production. Some paint manufacturers still carry some of the pigment, but it isn't widely produced and is expensive. This imitation of Quin. Gold is a unique approach. It offers similar characteristics to the original but you will notice this one is lighter in color and a pinch less transparent. It has a beautiful brick of gold color in mass tone and becomes a shiny gold when thinned.
