This early 1990s vintage suit from Giorgio Armani's Black Label is a lovely muted shade of sage green fabric (a slight bit lighter than it looks on our monitor). The modernist, streamlined jacket has no collar or lapels, and the buttons are hidden behind a placket. It has long sleeves, light shoulder pads, and two besom pockets at the hips. The pencil skirt has a waistband and darts, and a small pleat with topstitching down the front - the only decorative embelishment on the suit. It closes with a side zipper. Both pieces are lined in pale turquoise rayon. The shell fabric is a four-season wool woven with an almost very fine dobby texture. Both pieces are labeled Italian size 38, which is usually equivalent to a US size 2. Based on the skirt measurements, out modern sizing charts indicate that the suit is indeed a modern size 2.
