This is a California import from July 1970 and now has an age related H plate with a UK V5.

I believe it was originally a T250 mkII with high trial pipes, which explains the sad butchery on the front mudguard.

The headlamp bulb needs replacing as only one element works, the kill switch doesn’t work because I’m told it didn’t have one originally so there’s no wires on the loom for it.

The connection between the carb and air box rubber needs addressing, I realise I’m painting a dark picture but I’m trying to be honest.

This old girl is in nice order but at 54 years old not a show pony.

The paint is “ok” if you wanted to jump on it and enjoy it, and the pipes are the same.

The frames been powder coated and is nice, as are the wheels, the top end has been rebored with new pistons and the cranks been rebuilt and balanced, all done by Alpha Classic Motorcycles in Somerset, a very well respected classic two stroke company.

It starts, runs, and rides, but the carbs will need a little fettle.

It’s registered as a historic vehicle so the road tax is free and it’s MOT exempt.

Viewing is advised, I’m roughly 20 minutes from J25 M5, on the A358 heading towards Minehead in Somerset. (Check on a map if you’re not sure to save buying it only to discover it’s the other end of the country to yourself.)
