For sale is an amazing antique Middle Eastern silver cigarette case with red, gold and black niello style enamel decoration.  The case is 6 inches long by 3 3/8 inches wide by 3/8 inch thick and weighs 194 grams.  It has a spring-hinge on one long edge and a push-button catch on the other.  Both sides are decorated with inlaid red scroll enamel and a gold enamel oval.  Amongst the scrolls are fancy birds with black bodies, and there are palm trees, antelopes and tigers in the center.  It has loops on one side of the interior for a strap, now missing.  It has not been monogrammed.  There are no marks, but it is silver.

Condition on the case is fairly good.  There are a couple of dents, one gap near the catch, and normal wear from use.  The internal strap is missing, as noted.  It is a bit difficult to latch and unlatch, but it does work.  A really great looking antique cigarette case.
