Loetz Green Papillon Bohemian Iridescent Vintage Czech Art Deco Glass Vase
Description and Item Information
Up for sale is this old Loetz art glass cabinet vase. Please excuse the glare in the photos. This spotted, iridescent vase has a simple form with a flared rim. It is an example of the papillon decor; sometimes people call this decoration style "oil spot." This piece stands approximately 3 1/8 inches tall. The maximum diameter is about 3 1/8 inches. Unpacked, this piece weighs 5.4 ounces. It would be a fine addition to a collection of European art glass.
Identification
This unmarked piece is authentic art deco Loetz glass. It is an example of the Papillon decor in green glass. This piece is vintage, likely circa 1920s or 1930s.
Condition
The vase looks very good overall, with no cracks or chips. There is a small amount of hard water residue to the interior, about 1/2 inch below the rim, but this is just a discontinuous, faint line and it does not detract overall. There are wear scratches to the foot, as expected for old glass. Please review the photos, and ask any necessary questions prior to bidding or buying.

1. Payments
Taxes may be applicable. The correct shipping address must be included with payment. Contact the seller before bidding or buying to find out about acceptable payment methods for local pickups or deliveries. Payments must be received within three days of the end of the listing, unless prior arrangements have been made.
2. Shipping
Good packaging is included; double-boxing is not necessarily included. Framed art will not be shipped unframed. The seller usually ships on Mondays and Thursdays. The merchandise will normally be shipped on the seller's next shipping day after payment clears. The seller is not responsible for the transit time once the merchandise has been accepted by the shipping carrier.
Shipping includes delivery to a physical address via a method of the seller's choice. If the buyer prefers a different shipping method other than that chosen by the seller, or if delivery is to a post office box, additional shipping costs may be required. At the seller's discretion, a signature may be required for delivery.
Shipping quotes must be requested prior to all international bidding or buying. For international shipping, there may be parcel size restrictions or prohibitions on certain classes of merchandise. Customs forms will not be falsified.
International buyers, please note: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying. These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when the item is picked up; do not confuse them for additional shipping charges.
