I read a review that panned this recording because it sounded like CTI Records. That is why I love this record because it has a Bob James, Deodato Groove.

Joseph Samuel Thomas (May 31, 1933 - July 26, 2017) was an American jazz flutist and occasional saxophonist.

Cornell Luther Dupree (December 19, 1942 – May 8, 2011) was an American jazzand R&B guitarist. He worked at various times with Aretha FranklinBill WithersDonny HathawayKing Curtis, and Steve Gadd, appeared on Late Night with David Letterman, and wrote a book on soul and blues guitar, Rhythm and Blues Guitar. He reportedly recorded on 2,500 sessions.
