Rare and superb pair of large sconces Louis XVI style from the 19th.
Manufacturing bronze. Gilding in very good condition with a superb shine (the gilding has been completely cleaned).
The central part is decorated with a fluted barrel with acanthus leaves and surmounted with a
Bacchus
head.
The light arms are flowering branches.
This pair of sconces comes from a prestigious auction at Château de Tilloloy (see last photo) in 2017. Probably a unique creation.
The chasing is very fine, a guarantee of high quality.
Electricity installed and tested, new wires. Wooden candles, good condition. Ready to install (for E14 bulb).
Note, the sconces are not drilled, the entire electrical system can be removed to restore its original condition.
