Created in 1963, in the frenzy of the recently introduced Barbie franchise, Remco's Littlechap dolls were meant to offer children a wholesome, family play experience.

More than incidentally based on the beloved young family in the White House , the All-American Littlechaps consisted of John, the handsome doctor father, the Lisa, the model -turned-PTA President mom, honor student teen daughter Judith, and spirited, little sis Libby. Although made for only one year ( the dolls were discontinued after the loss of our revered President) , they have remained collector favorites to this day,

The doll on offer here is Libby. Cute and perky, fifth grade Libby is growing up. She has long legs, stick-straight , waist length brown-black hair cut into chic bangs, and she is just starting to - ahem- " develop." Libby's rather curvaceous shape did not disappoint midcentury youngsters who enjoyed dressing their dolls in the latest 60s fashions.

Now 61, Libby has begun to show her age a bit. One of her legs tends to pop out of its hip socket a little, and her hair has become somewhat thinner and slightly coarse. She still stands easily on her own, and her molded vinyl face with its pert, mischievous expression is fresh and lovely. She is clean, solid and free of odors.

Nostalgic and collectible, Libby Littlechap doll features an incised marking on her back. She will be delivered USPS Ground Advantage from Los Angeles.
