These are handmade laminated bookmarks for each of the 50 United States flags, made from Authentic First Day Cover (FDC) US Postal Stamps, celebrating the 1976 bicentennial!

First day covers have been cancelled by the US Postal Service on the day that a stamp was authorized for use, and the neat thing is that the cancellation was done in the same US State that the flag is from, meaning you get a one-of-a-kind collectible that has actually been in that particular US State!
