Welcome to Milkweed Antiques.

This still bank is marked on the top "Crystal Bank". The slot is right by the word crystal. This bank was made in two versions. One has the glass, the other does not. I believe the glass broke so much that they shifted to the other style. The top and bottom are cast iron. It is painted gold. The top is a dome that goes up to the center. The lid is scalloped at the bottom. The base is plain and has three feet. The glass has 12 narrow panels. The glass is open at the top and bottom. This bank was made by Arcade, but it is not marked. The bank is 4" tall x 3-1/4" wide foot to foot with a 2-5/8" diameter at the top. This bank is from the 1910s - 1920s. It is harder to find with the glass intact.

This bank was used. The gold paint is stripped off of the screw. I believe the screw is original because the banks fits together quite well. There are several chips on the bottom edges of the glass. There is one small fracture in the glass that I have circled in picture #9. This picture is greatly magnified. There is some wear to the paint. Please see my pictures. They help with the description. My price reflects the condition.
