A lovely antique bone china teacup, saucer & plate trio made by Star China/Paragon.

Carefully moulded from very fine, pure white porcelain. Seen from above, the rims are shaped like the petals of a flower, very much like the 'Snowdrop' shape of earlier Foley Wileman (pre-Shelley) pieces. Beautifully decorated with a pattern (no. X586) of large pink roses, pink geraniums and small blue flowers. The rims and pointed handle are all accented with gilding. The backstamp suggests that this trio was manufactured in the mid-to-late 1910s, between circa 1913 and 1919 when the company officially changed its name to Paragon.

Offered for sale in very good antique condition with no chips or cracks. There is wear to the gilded rims and some fine glaze crazing is present but nothing detrimental. Please be realistic about the condition of an item of this age - it is over 100 years old and will have been used so cannot be expected to look brand new. Still a high quality, decorative and rare set for the discerning collector.

Questions welcome. Will be very well packed.
