A magnificent vintage English silver plated (on copper) gallery tray. Perfect for serving afternoon tea or pre-dinner drinks - all you need is a butler to carry it into your elegant drawing room!

Oval in shape and measuring 18 x 12 inches. The pierced gallery rail has cutout grab handles at either end and the plateau is beautifully chased with a classic rococo pattern of scrolls surrounding a blank central cartouche. The tray stands on four ball and claw feet. Solid and weighty.

Offered for sale in excellent vintage condition. It sits perfectly flat and the surface shows just very minor scratches and light signs of wear from use and polishing over the years - see photos. I sell a lot of these trays and this is a lovely example that has obviously been very well cared for. Freshly cleaned and polished to a nice shine.
