The pan is heavy, it weighs 2lbzs 2oz and is 8 1/2" wide.  The weight makes it stable and the wooden handle is comfortable to hold.  The metal hanger is solidly attached.  It is made of carbon steel and is prone to getting surface rust which can be removed with bar keeper's friend.  The surface is completely flat, there is no lip around the edge.
