Vintage VEEDER RADIO TUNING TURNS COUNTER, Gear Drive, Ham, Shortwave Receivers

For early Ham Radio and shortwave receivers. Made by the VEEDER MFG CO., HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A. Patented OCT. 22, 1895 AND AUG. 15, 1911
I don't know specific applications but seen on: Collins Radio National Radio Hammarlund: The Hammarlund Manufacturing Company was founded by Oscar Hammarlund in New York City, New York, United States in 1910. When the company was dissolved in 1973, it was among the USA's very oldest producers of radio equipment.
Vintage VEEDER TURNS COUNTER. These are much older than VEEDER-ROOT counters for earlier radios.
For early Ham Radio and shortwave receivers. Four wheel turns up and down smoothly; counts turns up and down from 0000-9999. Body is 1" long. Base is 1-3/8" wide and holes are 1-1/8" c/c. Total length with gear 1-3/8". Many available all in similar condition as shown.
Also for DIY radio tuning.
