• Cover inks / gloss: bright colors; little reflectivity
• Cover wear: cover is nearly detached at top staple. heavy wear along spine; front has tiny edge tears, and a missing piece at lower right. Reverse has a 1/2" diameter hole
• Cover creases: corner crease on front at top right
• Soiling, staining: light soiling on reverse
• Dates / stamps: small newsstand marking on front near center
• Spine roll: moderate; pages fanned on reverse
• Spine split: several
• Staples: some rust
• Staple tears: top and bottom
• Rust migration: a bit noted on top on first couple pages
• Stress lines: numerous horizontal stress tears down spine on reverse up to 1/2"
• Corners: abraded
• Centerfold: tight
• Interior tears: several edge tears on reading edge nowhere near panels; final page has a 1/2" tear near center
• Paper quality / color: supple; lightly tanned
• Acid odor: none noted
• Missing pieces: small edge piece missing on front cover at lower right
• Amateur repairs: none
• Coupon cut: none
• Readability: excellent; complete
• Back cover: little reflectivity; tear at lower staple; numerous horizontal stress tears down spine up to 1/2"

All things considered, I have graded this book FAIR / GOOD (1.5), mostly due to the horizontal spine tears, and hole, on reverse
