A beautiful, mid-Victorian MAJOLICA PLATE, featuring a delightful, embossed pattern of a bird (possibly a sparrow) which has been hand painted in colourful glazes.
The backstamp is a simple impressed letter- M but to date, I have been unable to trace the maker.
With a stunning
aqua blue
palette, this is a beautiful piece of antique art to hang on your wall or display alongside any good collection of Victorian majolica.
DISPLAYS NICELY. Pattern is CRISP & CLEAR.
NO chips; NO cracks, NO repairs; NO crazing.
Measures: c. 20 cm diameter (8").
