Majestic pair of Antique or Antique style lamps. Comes with a pair of gorgeous plush Lampshades with ornate paisley border in turquoise colour. Together they look splendid and are a vibrant representation of the british colours and theme.  These lamps are of superior quality both in terms of looks and build.  Would be a lovely pair to display after redecorating your interiors. Due to its classic theme of Lion will suit any type of decor.

The lamps might be victorian or early 20th century cast.

Unsure whether it is brass/bronze/gilt metal. Whatever it is - the lamps are ornate with plenty of decoration. These are heavy lamps (each weighing 6.5 kg) that is made of solid cast. The leg seems to be iron. It might be possible that the lamps were firedogs that have been sympathetically converted to lamps. Alternatively, it might have been manufactured in a similar form to match the fire dogs in the house.

Condition: In very good condition. The lamp body has several imperfections that has been accumulated through its life time. There are dents, scratches, tiny holes etc. All these are visible in the pictures.  All these are due to age and not defects that will hamper the use of these lamps. The lampshades are in good clean condition.
