Rare engraving of Brooklyn Bridge and the Fulton Ferry House, 1878

Bookplate from America Illustrated, edited by J. David Williams ,

Published by Manhattan Printing & Publishing, 1878

This is the actual "first edition".

A second edition by Arundel Print ,1880 has this illustration too.

Most book dealers refer to the 1883 edition by DeWolfe Fisk of Boston as the first edition >it is the third edition AND,
it does not have this print. In its place is the Horseshoe Curve in Pennsylvania.

The 1st and 2nd editions are hard to find.

My claim that this is rare is quite valid.

> BTW, the bridge was first known as the Great Suspension Bridge. Years later it was called "Brooklyn Bridge"
