This is a wonderful and rare Art Nouveau Jug made by WMF (Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik) In Geislingen, Germany ca. 1900. The jug is made of silver plated metal in typical Art Nouveau / Jugendstil style. Decorated with pond scene in relief with dragonfly, fish, frog , reeds and flowers. It has developed beautiful shiny aged graphite black patination. Marked WMFB to the base. In very good condition considering the age! There is some damage as follows: The finial to the lid has been broken. Also it looks as if the par of the lid that covers the spout has been cut- see pictures! Still a very decorative piece!
