ASUS X58L Laptop Computer - Great condition - with Charger but cannot load an Operating System

Great condition laptop from ASUS complete with the correct ASUS Charger, or Power Supply.

- 3GB DDR2-5300 memory

- 120GB SATA hard-drive

- CDRW / DVD multi-reader drive

- Complete with the correct ASUS 19V 3.42A Charger

- PCMCIA and SD Card slots

- Carbon-fibre look lid and wrist-rest

I've tried a couple of times to load an Operating System - Windows XP and Windows 7 but I keep getting a PFN_LIST_CORRUPT error.

Laptop itself is in  very good physical condition and the battery does hold a charge.
