Bill recently arrived in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, Philippines to visit his friend Katherine. Katherine had been in the city for five weeks already, conducting workshops for early childhood educators. Bill joined her on a trip to her alma mater, Silliman University, where she held her fourth workshop. It was interesting for Bill to see Katherine in her element, surrounded by her family and friends in the place where she grew up.While in the Philippines, Bill experienced the beauty of the country, with temperatures in the 80s and 90s and high humidity. He also had the opportunity to visit Corregidor Island in Bataan, where relics of World War II guns can still be seen. Bill enjoyed the sights and sounds of the Philippines, from the lush greenery to the warm hospitality of the people he met along the way.As Bill's trip comes to an end, he reflects on the time he spent in the Philippines and the memories he made with Katherine and her loved ones. He is grateful for the chance to explore a new culture and learn more about the history of the country. With plans to return to Kansas soon, Bill will always cherish the experiences he had in the Philippines and the friendships he formed during his time there.
