Stalybridge Celtic FC: An English football club based in Stalybridge, Greater Manchester who were a Football League club for two seasons from 1921 as they were one of the founder members of the Football League Third Division North.

The club was formed in 1909 and played its first two seasons in the Lancashire & Cheshire Amateur League where they were runners-up in 1909 - 10 & Champions in 1910 - 11 (the medal for sale). This was the first Honour won by the club.

They then turned professional and joined the Lancashire Combination League, becoming Second Division Champions at the first attempt. After resigning from the Football League in the mid 1920s they joined the Cheshire County League where they remained for 60 years before becoming members of more senior leagues.

They are currently members of the Northern Premier League Division One West.

Summary: As can be seen from the photos & history (above) this is an historic medal in the history of Stalybridge Celtic. The first medal won by a club is always one of the most sought-after and this is a superb example. Good luck!
