This fine old Steinway is a model E upright, bearing the "metallic bridge plate" script and a two-piece frame, with serial number 62197.

Finished in ebonised black, this piano was made in Hamburg and shipped to Steinway Hall, London in 1888. It was first sold to dealer Warne & Co. of Wardour Street in London.

Much loved, the piano has been in the same family since the 1960s and well cared for throughout this time.
