An amazing pair of antique prescription eye glasses from the 1901, so they have been worn.  They have an octagon shape lens.  There is a magnify window at the bottom of each lens.  The frames are 12k GF with an adjustable sliding ear stem with loop end.  It ends 5.5".  Wire rims are flexible, so lenses can be made to a variety of oval shapes for this frame.  Temples are measured their full length, hinge to tip, as though they were straightened out. Why? Because they're adjustable, so measurements to the bend vary. Lens and bridge measurements are from lens edge to lens edge.  Hinge to hinge is measured from screw to screw.  This will make great everyday glasses or some very cool eye glasses. This classic gold wire rim octagon antique prescription eyeglasses is in great condition.  The stamp reads “AO 12k 20/10 GF' between the eyebrow on the frame, this mean the frame is 12 karat gold-filled.
