Published by JSC, the kit builds 1:400 scale waterline models of the Polish cargo ships, Mieszko I and Hel.

Launched in September 1966 in Szczecin, Poland, the 8,408-ton general cargo ship Mieszco I entered service in 1967, operating for 20 years, between Poland and South America and East Africa. In 1989, she was sold to Sky Dream SA, Athens and renamed City of Bombay. She was scrapped in 1991

The express freighter, Hel, was launched in 1969 in Naksov, Denmark. She entered Polish service the following year and was used on trips between Poland and the Far East. In 1987, she collided with a Liberian tanker and, although repaired, was shortly thereafter sold for scrapping

The kit is printed on 10 A4 sheets of card and the completed models of Mieszko I and Hel measure about 14 inches and 16 inches long respectivley.

The kit has English text and construction diagrams.

The modeller cuts out the pieces, scores, bends, folds and curves them into the right shape before gluing them together. The result is a proper 3-D scale model.
