Published by the Polish publisher, JSC, the kit builds a 1:400 scale waterline models of the German catapult ship, Bussard and the submarine minelayer, U 117.

Completed in May 1942, Bussard was designed to launch aircraft by catapult. She was mainly based in northern Norway to hunt Russian convoys. After the war, she was taken over by the US Navy and then sold to Belgium and converted to a dredger.

U117, a type XB U-boat, was commissioned in October 1941. She was active in the Atlantic, as a minelayer and as a Milchkuh, supplying other boats. In August 1943, while supplying U-66, she was attacked and sunk by aircraft from USS Card.

The kit also contains parts to build three Blohm and Voss BV 138 flying boats and one Blohm and Voss BV 238 giant six-engined flying boat. It is also possible to build a similar ship, Falke, instead of the Bussard.

The kit has good diagrams and full English instructions. The parts are printed on 6 sheets of A4 card and paper.
