Aztec death whistles - known for their screaming sounds, and suggested to be used to frighten their enemies before combat or in ceremonial human sacrifice. 

Historically these whistles were actually much softer sounding, much more akin to the sound of howling wind than human screams.

This green will glow faintly after being exposed to light and more brightly if exposed specifically to UV light, for example being in direct sunlight. continuous long exposure (5+ hours) can break down and damage the material.
