This beautifully carved ANRI horse sculpture is in almost perfect condition.  I have not been able to come up with a date it may have been carved, or whom the artist might have been.  Helmut Diller was a notable German wood sculptor who carved beautiful horse figurines in collaboration with the house of ANRI, though this piece does not appear to be signed by an artist. It does have its original ANRI Italy sticker on the bottom.

These wooden sculptures are so intricately carved that the ear appendage is often damaged or broken off completely.  This particular piece has both ears in tact with minor chipping or carve marks upon magnification.  This magnificent horse prances proudly and alertly next to a fence with a few large rocks near by.  The detail is sharp and accurate from its hooves to its head.  There are some age spots on the wood, but a little polishing oil will bring it back to life in a most stunning way!
