Up for sale is a very rare  "OLYMPIC AIRWAYS" battery operated tin toy plane made in Greece in the late 50's.
Τhe manufacturer is not mentioned.
This unusual toy plane is based on a Japanese made AMERICAN AIRLINES DC 7 toy plane, but it has the OLYMPIC AIRWAYS logo and 2 engines instead of 4.(The American Airlines logo still exists on the back of the fuselage)

Τhere is a battery operated mechanism that moves the plane and the propellers, and flashes the lights wich however DOES NOT WORK.

DIMENSIONS OF THE AIRCRAFT: Length: 32,5cm approx.   Wingspan: 28cm approx.

CONDITION:
-There are scratches and marks here and there.
-There is a break in the plastic housing of the central light.(see photo)
-There are  some rust marks inside the fuselage.(see photo)

MISSING PARTS: Τhe parts I can see missing  are the hubcups from the two rear wheels, the front wheel with its base and the central light cover and bulb.(In the last 3 photos you can see the missing parts from a similar plane that i have in my collection.)

Οverall this rare toy is in decent condition and is a good restoration project. (see photos)
