WWII US Airborne Helmet.

This is a post war steel helmet shell and composite liner used to recreate a helmet worn by paratroopers of the US 101 Airborne Division on D-Day.

The outer shell has been corked and painted olive crab.  The helmet has D-Day unit identification markings of 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment.

The helmet has a reproduction camouflage net on it similar in size to those issued at the time.

The helmet and liner are in used condition and show some signs of use. There looks to be a repair to the liner webbing at the nape/neck support. See photos.

A nice looking helmet, perfect for living history, reenactment or display.

Thanks for looking.
