Here we have an amazing and very large Chinese antique soapstone vase converted to a lamp and featuring deeply carved PHOENIX birds, CHRYSANTHEMUMS the whole surrounded by rocky elements. Very good original condition with a repair on the side as seen in the pictures. Converted to electricity C.1920's. Measures 26" tall overall. The soapstone measures 11" tall x 7-1/2" x 4-1/2". C.1870. Works fine.
