Nike SAMPRAS polo 1994 Wimbledon.

Coming up on the 30th anniversary of Pete's endorsement with Nike. This is the first design they did for him which he wore at queens and then Wimbledon that year. He'd been with tacchini since about 1988 until the French open 1994.

The polo is in very good condition, it's quite a heavy fabric, quality cotton.

It's an extra large size approx 24 pit to pit and 30.5 32.5 collar to hem: the front is shorter than the back as always was the case 30 years ago with Nike.

The shorts which can be included if you want are NWT but I don't think these are from 1994 rather a few years later. I think 1998 (I also have Pete's polo NWT from this year,  if interested I'll be listing it here) is the shorts manufacture year.  They are 34 waist.

I'm reluctantly selling as it's about 2 inches too large for me both ways and probably could serve someone else better. Maybe someone who remembers this win and the era with fondness. I was a child 30 yrs ago and remember being introduced to tennis through BBC coverage.

Digressions aside. Happy to sell this to a true tennis fan, I have to put the price up because it's so rare to find this polo nowadays and also the fact it's Pete's first outfit.  The shorts are optional in the purchase so let me know if you want these or not before buying and I'll  decrease the item price according to that. I'll do this buy accepting the percentage off offer I'll make available.
