These beauties are from my own 1980 Alembic Series I short-scale bass with a graphite neck and Omega cutout. I installed custom pickups and electronics in it 20+ years ago and just found them in my Secret Parts Stash (not-so-cleverly) hidden in an old EMG pickup box. Though they are from the same bass, one has a slightly different color tint than the other. It's really only noticeable in very bright light. Both are epoxy-sealed with the old-style 'barrel' connector. One connector is coded blue and the other red to designate 'neck' and 'bridge' positions; I just can't remember which is which!

One of the pickups sits about 1/16" higher when resting on a solid surface due to the fact that the poured epoxy bulges out a bit more from the underside of the pickup. This does not matter once they are installed. If you were to ask me I would say one pickup was manufactured in the late 1970's and the other in 1980 and then installed in my Series I. But I can assure you they came from the same bass and in any event, are well worth the price even if you decided to use them individually. After all, the Alembic Series I now lists for almost $35,000 (that's thirty-five THOUSAND dollars)!! Plus, these are not available as replacement parts from Alembic so this may be your only chance to ever acquire a pair.

Because these are low-impedance pickups requiring Alembic electronics and their own Power Supply to function, I have no way of testing them out in a live situation. (I am up in NH and my gear is stored in PA) But I unconditionally guarantee them to be fully functional, electronically stable and non-microphonic!

FREE USA SHIPPING and a 30-day return privilege for any reason. Per eBay, I must ship these fully insured with signature required. The Bass Palace will be listing lots more parts this spring along with at least a dozen cool basses and guitars. Thanks for visiting us at the Nashville Guitar Show March 23 & 24.
