poster from the Societe Nationale des Chemins de Fer Français
(SNCF) was produced in 1963 by Albert Brenet to promote travel in
sleeping wagons in France.
The railway company promotes
passenger cars which can be taken with them on the train.
Albert
Brenet is a French painter, poster designer and illustrator. In
1936, he was appointed painter of the Navy and painter of the Air,
then painter of the Armies in 1959. He traveled the seas of the
world on different ships making sketches, oil paintings, gouaches,
ships, ports but also scenes from the life of the crews.
