Been kept in a dolls house.  In perfect condition.  Comes from smoke free home.

1:12th scale metal spit jack.  This would have been used in a Georgian kitchen (1700s) to turn the spit.  This one is of the hand cranked variety and a boy or girl would have stood and turned the handle which would have turned a rope that was fixed to the spit on which the meat was cooking.  This is a very detailed and accurate model in 1:12th scale.  The handle actually turns and rotates the disc at the back where the chain would be attached to the spit.  The wheel at the top does not turn but looks as if it does.  Size of spit jack is 2 inches high by 1.5 inches wide x 1.5 inches deep.  It does not come with a roasting spit.

This is a perfect touch to any Georgian kitchen.  If you google Spit Jack you will see how it is meant to look in the kitchen.

Also included in this lot is a pot crane.  This is also made of metal and is used to suspend pots and kettles over the fire to heat up.  The crane is 3.5 inches wide by 2.75 inches in height.  This crane can actually work and swing over the fire.  In order to do this, just put two screw eyes (supplied) in the side of your chimney top and bottom of the triangular support of the crane.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS JUST FOR THE SPIT JACK AND POT CRANE.  THE RANGE AND OTHER ACCESSORIES ARE NOT INCLUDED AND ARE JUST TO SHOW HOW THE SPIT JACK AND POT CRANE WILL LOOK WHEN IN PLACE.
