Victorian Farm & Tales from the Green Valley Collection DVD Boxset

A two-volume set of documentaries, re-enacting rural life of the past. In 'Victorian Farm' archaeologists and historians recreate life down on the farm from over 100 years ago. Wearing period clothes and using only the tools available at the time, Ruth Goodman, Peter Ginn and Alex Langlands take a year out of their lives to find out what rural life was really like in the 1880s, as they tend pigs and sheep, cultivate the land, and try to survive without modern-day aids. In the 12-part documentary series 'Tales from the Green Valley', five experts, including archaeologists and historians, face the challenge of running a farm as it would have been run 400 years ago. Working without modern tools and machinery, the team has to turn its expert knowledge into practical results.
