This stunning vintage Wittnauer wristwatch is a true piece of Art Deco history.  Crafted from 14K rose gold, it features Arabic numerals on a rose gold dial and a wrap-around black cloth strap. With a rectangular case size of 13mm x 17mm (not including lugs) and a slim case thickness of 6mm, this watch will fit a wrist up to 5.75 inches.  I measured with a string, cut to fit in the interior, and laid out on a ruler.

Featuring fancy lugs, it also sports diamonds and rubies.  It's the most ultra Art Deco ladies watch I ever laid eyes on.  I weighed it on a scale the best I could and got 14 grams in its entirety.  Then I carefully weighed it two ways:  one, with the band held up in the air, and two, with the band draped across the scale where it wouldn't weigh.  Both times I got 10 grams.  But keep in mind that's with the crystal in place, and is only a guesstimate.

The watch has a manual mechanical movement with 17 jewels and a jewelry clasp closure. It is not running.  The wheel shaft does not wobble.  It rotates well when pushed by my finger, but won't run on its own.  It has been sitting up since the late 1970's. There are many dates inside the back where it was regularly serviced.  The earliest date I see is M6736H.  Among the many markings I see "SR586526-268G."  And I see service dates from the 1960's and 1970's.

I have just mailed this watch to my watch repair shop in Pennsylvania, and have temporarily jacked up the asking price to discourage you from buying till I get it back and running.  At that time, I will put a realistic asking price on it.  This way I don't have to kill the auction and start it all over later.
