Pre-wired sensor.

Cable is five meters in length.

The wires from the sensor connect to the solid grey cable and the brown/white cable at the heater connector.

Cables can be wired in any way round as there is no polarity. Super flexi and thin allows easy feeding behind panels to the heater area. No amperage only a signal change is carried along the twin cable.

Make a good connection by soldering or a decent splice option.

How the external sensor works.

When wired into the grey and brown/white wire the control unit in the heater senses this.

The external sensor that you have mounted takes over from the heater internal temperature sensor that is fitted to the heater ECU.

The heater will continue to supply heat until the newly mounted external sensor detects the heat change.

Usually the external sensor is mounted in the coldest part of the cabin or seating space high up away from obstructions.

As you can see from the photos the sensor is in a smart dedicated box with the Eberspacher logo.

A single correct self tapping screw and the blanking cover to cover the screw head to smarten the installation.
