We are selling our 2005 Escape 17 moulded fiberglass Classic camper!
This is the Classic model with the aircraft style door. Oak wood interior, all original, white vinyl flooring, white counter tops & raised 4-person dinette in the rear with a smaller 2-person dinette in the front. Both dinettes will fold into a bed ( 78x48 and 76x30 - Sleeps 3 people) Dry bath model with updated new Thetford handflush toilet, no shower/hot water. Walk in bathroom. Perfect for those who are not fond of wet baths and prefer to have a hot shower in the campground facilities.
Equipped with a three-burner cooktop with power hood/fan, (2) brand new tires installed March of 2024, sewer tube on rear bumper, 12,000 BTU furnace (works great) with an updated new Honeywell digital thermostat, dual 20 pound propane tanks, exterior quick connect propane hookup for a grill, griddle or fireplace, Fantastic/max fan on roof, Dometic refrigerator/freezer that runs on 120v and propane, factory microwave (or) Air conditioning ready cabinet above the refrigerator by design, currently this unit has a microwave installed as the Fantastic/max fan is great for circulation and cooling but can be changed over to AC easily (see reference pic in ad of an actual AC install in place of a microwave) has an interior fire extinguisher, brand new propane gas detector & new combo smoke/CO alarm installed in March 2024, has tank level indicators, single 12V deep cycle battery, ample storage under all interior benches and overhead cabinets, nice clean dinette cushions, large wardrobe closet by door, folding screen door at main door, stabilizer jacks with sand pads for stability, factory white snap on front rock guards, Dexter axle was replaced approx 8 years ago, 20 gal fresh water, 20 gal gray and 7.5 gal black tank, no hot water heater (easier to winterize) has exterior 110 outlet, 12v outlet, 25 foot 30 amp power cord, flip up counter extension at sink/dinette.
The dry weight is approx 1750 lbs with 250 pounds of tongue weight, this makes this unit very nimble & versatile and it can be pulled by almost anything today even a car or compact SUV. (My lawn mower moves it around the yard) :)
No signs of previous water damage, these Escapes are a solidly built one piece moulded fiberglass design like a Boler, Scamp, trillium etc. but way more popular and desirable due to being more spacious and quality of build. No wood floors to rot like the above mentioned, these have a fiberglass floor as well! Made in Chilliwack BC Canada.
One of the cushions on the large dinette has a couple of patches sewn in by the previous owner (seam let go) the exterior fiberglass body has some superficial non-structural spider webbing in the gelcoat on the driver side and also on the very front right corner, camper needs buffing, polishing and waxing to bring the gelcoat back to a shine, the fiberglass is dull and needs polished and cleaned! …there are plenty of YouTube videos online on how to do this yourself and save money. Decals are sun faded, Comes with new outdoor awning fabric in a box and will need installed, I’ve never opened it, aside from that, great camper for trips that won’t cost you 40k to 50k for a new one of the same model currently produced by Escape. Check out their site. This one will get you out camping today as it all works. This is also a perfect blank canvass to do some upgrades such as solar (the Renogy 200 watt system with controller is a great system and not that expensive easy setup and around $300, not included, just mentioning) or do some fun Interior decorating if that is your thing, curtains, cushions, etc….
Will trade up (plus cash) towards an Escape 21 ( we need more room, only reason for trading/selling) has a clean and clear NY title, I do not think you will find a better/lower priced Escape on the market. All interior and exterior lights/signals, electric brakes, 7-pin in working order. Very clean and solid frame. Has the benefit of fitting in most 8’ tall door garages due to not having roof-top air conditioner (remember, the option for air conditioning is above the fridge in the classic model which is cheaper and easy to replace when needed and can be purchased at any Walmart) We purchased this camper from the original owner and it comes with all of the original paperwork, brochures and the build sheet. No pets, no smoking inside. Comes with 2 complete sets of keys for door, hitch lock and latches. Any questions please don’t hesitate to ask.
