The ALTA GH-300T Pistol Grip Ball Head from Vanguard is designed for action photography. By squeezing the ergonomic handle, it releases the hold on the ball, and you can position your camera angle. Once you release the handle it automatically locks into place.

The magnesium ball head features two panning axes, which are located at the base of the head and the other just under the quick release plate. The panning base, with its separate panning lock, rotates a full 360°, and moves freely to follow a fast-paced subject. The second base has 72-click points with 5° intervals, which allows a camera to create panoramic photographs. Moreover, the ball has a lateral tilt of -32 to 90° and a frontal tilt of -8 to 90°.

The pistol grip itself can also rotate 360° vertically to 8 pre-set positions. Of course, this is to make the position of the grip comfortable during shooting, and with a load capacity of 17.6 lb and its tension control you can rest assured that the camera will not creep or move anywhere. Additionally, the Arca-type head is compatible with most Arca-type plates on the market, and a safety pin located inside the clamp prevents the plate from accidentally falling out if the clamp was partially open. Included with the head are two universal 2.5mm DC jack cables, which are the TC1 and the TN1 for select Canon and Nikon cameras.
